Heald Country HouseBrochure Page. 3X
Heald Country House, a delightful farmhouse B&B is situated on the crest of a hill in prime Cheshire countryside. This beautiful family home offers top-notch luxury bed and breakfast accommodation. The house, surrounded by a picket fence, is set in three acres of pasture for the resident pigs, sheep and chickens.
Two dual aspect sumptuous B&B guest rooms are located in the main house and the two converted barns near to the house provide superb private B&B suites both with mezzanine bedrooms, log burners and sitting rooms. The Garden Room has a huge copper bath and The Old Parlour has a second double bedroom, for friends or family travelling together. Interiors have a strong French/New England influence and antiques sit easily alongside contemporary furniture. The comfortable guest sitting room in the main house, again with log burner, is well stocked with books and maps about the area, which is ideal for walkers or cyclists.
Wolsey Lodge B&B guests are offered afternoon tea with homemade cakes on arrival, and meals for guests staying in the main house are served in the elegant dining room where a roaring fire greets you during winter months. Delicious farmhouse breakfasts, with speciality breads, homemade cereals and preserves - and, of course, home reared bacon, eggs and sausages - are outstanding, and freshly made pancakes with mouth watering toppings, are a house speciality.
Your B&B Hosts
Rachael, your B&B host, is a health and cookbook writer of note, and provides delicious meals, including home-made wood fired pizza cooked in their very own outdoor bread oven. Her husband, Louis, is in PR and their two young sons enjoy helping with the abundant hospitality. Nothing is too much trouble and special extras such as champagne or flowers and chocolates can be arranged to await arrival.
The Location
Heald Country House is situated between two excellent gastro pubs; one has been awarded one of the best rural pubs in Britain. This rural haven is also very accessible for cities - Chester, Manchester and Liverpool - as well as pretty market towns like Shrewsbury, Nantwich, and Ludlow. The mountains and coastline of North Wales, beautiful traffic-free cycle routes, and walks such as the 36 mile Sandstone Trail, are nearby. There are great family days out at Chester Zoo, Alton Towers and the abundance of local National Trust properties.
