As sensational locations go, Bay House may take some beating – it is a perfect setting for a luxury bed and breakfast. Situated above Housel Bay on Cornwall’s Lizard Peninsula, this stunning Wolsey Lodge B&B occupies the most southerly location in England with miles of mesmerising ocean beyond. Just a short walk from the Lizard lighthouse, the garden drops down to the beach, the cliff footpath and direct access to the beach and many miles of coastal walking.

Bay House was built in the 1920s and the light, bright rooms take advantage of the dramatic coastline views and sea beyond. Antique and contemporary furniture complement the neutral shades used in the décor whilst the soft furnishings reflect the bright, crisp colours of the house’s surroundings. There are three luxury bed and breakfast guest rooms, each with sea views and so comfortable you would be most happy to simply while away the hours taking in the ever-changing vista.

In the garden there are flowers normally native to far warmer climes but which happily thrive here due to its southerly, warmer location and the summer house and other seating areas are perfect on warmer days as somewhere to enjoy afternoon tea.

Breakfast is served in the open-plan dining area which has great views. There are local restaurants aplenty for eating out.
