Ideal for discovering Derbyshire and the Peak District, Bridge Hill House is a stunning luxury modern family home B&B sitting on a hillside, overlooking the World Heritage Site of Derwent Valley Mills, birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. This newly built Wolsey Lodge is on the site of the 18th century estate of the Strutt family, Belper’s key benefactors. It boasts interesting historical features, including an ancient icehouse, that B&B guests can explore. The grounds also benefit from established trees, retained from the original property.

Capitalising on the amazing views, the layout of this fabulous Wolsey Lodge luxury B&B is ‘upside down’ with bedrooms on the ground floor. The strikingly modern interiors demonstrate attention to clever design and comfort. Four spacious bedrooms, all en suite, are named after famous local figures. There’s every luxury, including wonderfully comfortable beds and top quality linens plus silent fridges.

Breakfast is served in the first floor kitchen/breakfast room, or weather permitting, on the adjoining terrace which offers Wolsey Lodge B&B guests further panoramic vistas. Caroline’s Eggs Benedict are much lauded! There is a stylishly furnished sitting room for relaxing in comfort. For evening meals, excellent restaurants and pubs are within walking distance.
