WoodhayesBrochure Page. 21
Proudly overlooking the Otter Valley, Honiton and Devon, in what Daniel Defoe once called "the finest landscape in the world", rises Woodhayes, an elegant listed Georgian farmhouse offering luxury bed and breakfast (B&B) accommodation at its finest.
Dating back to the 14th century, Woodhayes is steeped in history and has a fascinating literary connection. Noel's Page-Turner ancestor was great aunt to one of Britain's greatest ever writers, Jane Austen, who often frequented nearby Lyme Regis.
Located in the beauty of the Devon countryside this is luxury indeed - fine antique furniture, sumptuous beds with fine bed linen and walls adorned with original paintings (including full length family portraits) make this an impressive, yet comfortable home from home for B&B guests visiting Honiton and the surrounding Devon countryside.
Guests are encouraged to explore the one and a half acre garden and scenic walks on the farm in this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Local attractions such as Dumpdon Hill, a Celtic hill fort and Luppitt Church are also worth a visit.
Your B&B Hosts
Christy and Noel Page-Turner are your Wolsey Lodge B&B hosts here in Devon. They are passionate about good food and they delight in sharing delicious four course meals, featuring the finest home grown vegetables and local meat and fish, with their B&B guests who appreciate the level of luxury they offer. Active members of the local community, Christy and Noel clearly enjoy entertaining and meeting people from all walks of life. Noel can often be found mowing, planting trees, pruning the topiary and he also spends a lot of time involved with voluntary organisations.
Located in Honiton this Wolsey Lodge bed and breakfast accommodation is close to all that Devon and Dorset has to offer. The Jurassic Coast (including the fossil hunter's paradise of Lyme Regis), East Devon and Dorset are on the doorstep and there is Honiton itself, the 'antique capital' of the South West with its bi-annual arts and music festival and the world's premier collection of Honiton lace.
