The LarchesBrochure Page. 44
The Larches is a country house with every comfort designed to make Wolsey Lodges B&B guests stay memorable. Set well back and hidden from public view it is surrounded by eight acres of lovely grounds, mostly woodland and has fine views over the Herefordshire countryside.
Inside there is a clever mix of contemporary features skilfully blended with exposed brick walls and wooden flooring. The furnishings are a blend of antique and more modern including some pieces made by Malcolm himself. Luxury B&B guest bedrooms (two en suite, one with private bathroom) vary in size and have everything needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The bathrooms are newly done and so are top specification, two being ultra modern and one finished in a more traditional style. Just along from the bedrooms is a guest sitting room with sofa, television, maps and local information. The sitting room has facilities to make drinks and there is always a supply of biscuits or cakes there. The door from the guest sitting room leads out to an external staircase which allows guests a private entrance to the house and it also leads to a large raised external balcony which provides a space to relax outside in fine weather .
Delicious breakfasts, freshly cooked and prepared by Inge, are served by the wood burning stove in the large kitchen.
Your B&B Hosts
Malcolm, a classic car enthusiast, enjoyed a career in professional motorsport, including F1. He is justifiably proud of his car collection and enjoys showing them to guests. The large parking area has CCTV so other classic car enthusiasts can be assured that their cars are very safe when visiting. Inge, German by birth, was an English teacher who now enjoys running a luxury B&B and is a talented photographer. They are both well travelled and thoroughly enjoy welcoming and spending time with Wolsey Lodge house guests from all over the world.
This area provides so much in terms of culture, outdoor pursuits and history. The lovely historic market town of Ledbury is nearby and the Malvern area, including the ancient spa town, is home to numerous festivals and shows and packed with activities and places to see for all age groups and interests. It is a delight for Wolsey Lodge B&B fans to visit.
