Field Green OastBrochure Page. 45Y
A delightful, traditional Kentish oast B&B, nestling deep in glorious Kent countryside, Field Green Oast is perfect for exploring the picturesque Weald of Kent. This historic building offering luxury accommodation has been sympathetically restored, resulting in a characterful family home with more than a touch of luxury!
Approached down a country lane and surrounded by ten acres of grounds, complete with pond and paddocks, there is ample parking and secure storage for bicycles. Inside, this unusual Victorian square kiln oast has been stylishly decorated with contemporary furnishings, including some fabulous modern art. The fresh flowers much in evidence are typical of the attention to detail from these amiable B&B hosts. A spacious guest sitting room, complete with log fire, overlooks the garden and terrace (where breakfast is served, weather permitting) and is the perfect place to relax after a day’s sightseeing and before sampling a local pub or restaurant.
The generously appointed B&B guest bedrooms are all en suite (with under floor heating in bath/shower rooms) and decorated using statement wallpapers and soft, colour schemes that reflect the natural colours of the garden outside. Luxury soft furnishings (wool, linen and silk) distinguish the rooms.
Careful sourcing is paramount at this Wolsey Lodge and it is apparent throughout Ian and Cathy’s home but most evident at breakfast – The choice is endless.
Your B&B Hosts
Ian and Cathy have lived at Field Green Oast for some ten years, the last four welcoming B&B guests. Ian, a business manager in the entertainment industry, works from home and Cathy, whose background was advertising and catering, is now a specialist teacher. The number of returning guests is testament to the welcome offered here, not just by the owners, but also by their delightful dogs Daphne and Dolly.
