Luxury accommodation in the Vale of Belvoir - with views of Belvoir Castle and surrounded by sixteen acres of parkland. Glebe House offers Wolsey Lodge guests luxury B&B accommodation in the former rectory of Muston village, which despite its Nottingham address is quite firmly in Leicestershire! Being so close to Lincoln too, Glebe House is perfectly placed for B&B guests exploring a wide area of delightful countryside and fascinating towns and cities.
Arriving along a tree-lined driveway, you will be warmly welcomed by your hosts Carole and Andrew and perhaps one of the friendly labrador dogs and you can’t help but feel instantly ‘at home’. Enjoy tea and homemade cakes (home baking is a true speciality here!) in the splendidly comfortable Music Room with its grand fireplace and then unwind and relax in the sumptuous luxury of your B&B room. Taking inspiration from the house’s Georgian heritage the guest rooms are spacious, light and beautifully decorated and finished with touches so appreciated by Wolsey Lodge guests - luxury linen, toiletries, bathrobes and slippers.
Outside the grounds have views across the Vale of Belvoir and there is an orchard, vegetable garden, paddocks and formal areas to enjoy as well as a croquet lawn for the energetic. Local fare is at the heart of the utterly delicious meals with homemade bread not to be missed.
Your B&B Hosts
Before their retirement Andrew was Headmaster and Lecturer, but also has been a Civil Servant and Wine Shipper. Carole has a long history in the diplomatic service which saw her travel the world. Together they share a love of choral singing and gardening and of course looking after their Wolsey Lodge B&B guests.
This Leicestershire luxury B&B which has associations with the poets George Crabbe and Lord Byron, is perfectly placed for Wolsey Lodge guests visting the Vale of Belvoir, an area of natural beauty on the borders of Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. This unspoilt rural area of England has wonderful villages, churches and National Trust properties for the visitor to enjoy. The major attractions are listed below, but Carole and Andrew have information on even more attractions locally to be enjoyed. For walkers and cyclists there is the Viking Way and Rutland Water.
