In search of peace and quiet? Then consider the perfect retreat offered at Manor House Farm in Wellingham, King's Lynn, Norfolk as it offers all that you could possibly wish for in luxury bed and breakfast accommodation. Standing alongside the village church the farm house has been home to your hosts Libby and Robin Ellis for over 40 years and in this time they have transformed it into an utterly beautiful country house B&B, with a garden that visitors flock to see whenever it is open under the National Gardens Scheme.
Tea and homemade cakes or cookies mark your arrival before you are shown around the house and garden. The converted stable wing with central heating is across the courtyard and offers two large and airy B&B bedrooms both with en suite bathrooms, a spacious sitting room with wood burning stove and a small kitchen where guests can make themselves light refreshments. The twin room in the stable wing has been designed for wheelchair access.
In the main house there is a further double B&B bedroom with en suite bathroom. Each room has been luxuriously furnished to ensure guests’ absolute comfort and it is easy to understand why so many guests return to Manor House Farm B&B time and again. The four acres of gardens will beckon you outside where you will find an avenue of pleached limes, an abundance of roses scrambling over old walls, a sunken courtyard garden and an ornamental greenhouse. Breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking the front lawn and home-reared pork, garden fruit and eggs from the family hens are all on offer and cooked to perfection. There is a good selection of local restaurants and pubs that offer evening meals and Libby and Robin are more than happy to make recommendations. They can also provide stabling for guests horses.

Robin and Libby have farmed here since 1966, bringing up their four children in what is very much a comfortable family home. Robin is a conservationist and they both have a huge interest in the garden, as well as being widely travelled.
