Fasbourn Hall in Buxhall, Suffolk is a wonderful historic former manor house, dating back to the 15th Century, in a bucolic setting at the end of a quiet, no-through road. It has 5 acres of mature gardens and a further 22 acres of meadowland - rich with wildlife - plus moat, medieval bridge and farmland to explore (maps kindly provided by the hosts). This luxury B&B reveals many historic eras including Medieval, Tudor, Georgian, Victorian and even Arts & Crafts, history buffs love staying here in what seems an untouched part of England.
Sympathetically restored, retaining its original splendour by its current owners, the interior boasts a wealth of period features, polished oak floors, wood panelling, exposed beams, open fires and carefully chosen antiques. B&B guests arrive into the stunning oak panelled hall and enjoy fireside refreshments in the drawing room and breakfast with the garden doors thrown open to enjoy birdsong on warmer days.
