Cresselly HouseBrochure Page. 120
This luxury Wolsey Lodge is one of Pembrokeshire’s finest houses and is occasionally opened for public tours. Allen family ancestors of the current owner built this gorgeous classic Georgian house in 1769. Overlooking the Cleddau Estuary it is set in 16 acres of elegant grounds and woodlands that guests can enjoy. This is a spectacular member of the Wolsey Lodge Welsh portfolio.
Behind the almost austere facade lies a home of great warmth and charm. After entering the grand hall, decorated with portraits of Allen ancestors and an abundance of fox hunting mementos from the past, B&B guests will be welcomed in the beautiful drawing room, which they can also use during their stay. Up the grand staircase there are very spacious guest bedrooms and enormous bathrooms with separate shower cubicles and capacious baths. Each has been recently restored and individually furnished in sumptuous classic style - with many of the family’s lovely antiques - in keeping with the elegance of the property.
A delicious dinner, by arrangement, and hearty breakfasts are served in the formal dining room. The estate has its own free range hens and is currently re-establishing its two acre walled kitchen garden to provide additional fresh produce for Wolsey Lodge B&B guests to enjoy.
Your B&B Hosts
Running the estate, and its numerous events, together with his keen interest in horseracing keep Hugh busy when he isn’t welcoming his B&B guests. Ros has her own catering company, and they both enjoy their involvement in the catering at Cresselly. The creamy scrambled eggs at breakfast are one of Hugh’s specialities!
Ideally positioned for visiting the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the lovely town of Tenby, this area is steeped in National Trust sites. Lovely woodlands, country walks, castles and gardens to visit, boat trips and more are within easy reach of Cresselly luxury B&B. A simply wonderful place to explore all that Pembrokeshire has to offer.
