Barton House lies at the heart of a glorious village in the North Cotswolds, well known to Shakespeare and only 17 miles south of Stratford-upon-Avon. This Elizabethan manor house offering perfect luxury bed and breakfast (B&B) accommodation to visitors to the Cotswold was extensively redesigned by Inigo Jones in 1636 and stands majestically opposite the village green beside the 12th century parish Church.
A marvellous sense of taste prevails in the quietly elegant interior of this accommodation. Antique furnishings and oriental rugs and carpets grace the oak panelled sitting and dining rooms which B&B guests are welcome to use.
The B&B accommodation has beautifully appointed bedrooms, with en suite bathrooms, and are furnished in a subtle oriental style and enjoy stunning views over lawns and fountains to the Cotswold countryside of Moreton-in-Marsh and Gloucestershire.
Cyclamen, magnolias and rhododendrons in spring, and maples, tulip trees and acers in autumn, create colourful accents all year round. A Japanese garden, secret garden, rose garden, tennis court and croquet lawn also make up the glorious grounds - as does a vineyard. 2002 was a good year, 2005 was sensational!

Hamish founded, and for 25 years ran, Britain's premier incoming tour operation and retired in 1996 to take over the family estates which run to some 1200 acres. He is a passionate gardener. Gillian is a brilliant cook and has a special talent for making their B&B guests feel most welcome in this tranquil home.
