Cheriton is an idyllic English village with a Norman Church and the Itchen stream running gently through the village green in Cheriton in Hampshire. At The Garden House Harry and Sarah extend the warmest of welcomes to guests looking for truly exceptional luxury bed and breakfast (B&B) accommodation.
Built in the grounds of the Queen Anne rectory which was owned by Harry’s family, The Garden House is beautifully decorated and furnished. The sweeping staircase is hung with illustrious ancestors and the comfortable and welcoming bedrooms and bathrooms in the B&B accommodation look over the walled garden or the surrounding Hampshire countryside. There is a tennis court which B&B guests are welcome to use.
Sarah, a Cordon Bleu cook, greets her Wolsey Lodge guests with a delicious tea and will ensure guests enjoy fabulous food throughout their stay with her in Hampshire, whilst Harry will entertain with stories of local history including the Battle of Cheriton 1644.

Harry is a retired Chartered Accountant who loves sailing and looking after the B&B guests. Sarah, as well as her interest in food and cooking, is passionate about children having the best start in life and delivers parenting courses. She also enjoys playing bridge and tennis.

The Garden House is a luxury Wolsey Lodge B&B located in Cheriton within the South Downs National Park and 15 minutes from the cathedral city of Winchester. A perfect place to explore the South Downs Way and Wayfarers Walk, Jane Austen’s House, Grange Park Opera and the Georgian market town, Alresford. Alresford has a steam railway, The Watercress Line (Thomas the Tank Engine) and 18-hole golf course. National Trust gardens and houses include Hinton Ampner, Uppark, Mottisfont Abbey and The Vine. Oxford, the New Forest, Chichester theatre, racing at Goodwood, Portsmouth (the historic ships The Mary Rose and Victory), Southampton (the Boat Show, airport, and cruises) are an easy distance, as are Salisbury and Stonehenge. Enjoy excellent local eating, and a real ale pub in the village.
