Burwash Place
No. 82 (1577)
Guests enjoying the luxury bed and breakfast B&B accommodation at Burwash Place in East Sussex will be following in the footsteps of many famous visitors who have enjoyed the tranquil surroundings - Rudyard Kipling, the poet Rev. James Hurdis and Patrick Moore to name just a few. Burwash Place, which dates from 1712, has the air of a traditional English country house and recent renovations have completed its transformation into a comfortable family home for your B&B host Lindsey Green, her daughters and parents.
The dining room overlooks glorious trees in the garden and with its mix of antique and traditional furniture is the perfect place for B&B guests to relax during breakfast. There is a warm, cosy, newly renovated guest lounge. Upstairs the Kipling suite is a large, bright and airy room with a roll top bath en suite and the most delightful balcony with stunning views. The Eastern Rose room follows its name with a distinctive floral theme and en suite facilities whilst the twin bedded Persian Blue room has a spacious private bathroom close by. Each has a flat-screen television, DVD player and tea making facilities.
A homemade tea marks your arrival at Burwash Place and B&B guests can enjoy dinner at the excellent local pubs and restaurants in this part of East Sussex. Bed and breakfast (B&B) guests may use the enclosed, heated swimming pool (May-October) for an early morning or pre-dinner swim.
