Greeted with a show of majestic gunnera flourishing during summer and a shady magnolia by the edge of the drive, 18th century Holly Hall is a comfortable, characterful house surrounded by a wildflower meadow and lovely rural views.
Jane and Peter warmly welcome you with refreshments either on the pretty terrace, with cooling soft drinks or in front of the log fire in the restful drawing room, set aside for guests.
Stylish through and through: two lovely large bedrooms – one with dressing area and attached bathroom with power shower – the other with it’s own bathroom, power shower and under floor heating. Fresh flowers, Roberts radio, trouser press, bathrobes, hairdryer and more are supplied in each room. Ultra comfortable beds are cosily made up with fine linen and blankets to ensure a blissful, perfect night’s sleep.
The pretty part-walled garden has colour and interest throughout the year and features a pond and fountain with seating for moments of quiet contemplation.
Your Bed & Breakfast Hosts
Peter worked in the City, is now retired and is a keen golfer. Fluent in French, Jane is a trained cook and creates traditional and modern recipes incorporating organic produce from the kitchen garden. They have brought their children up at Holly Hall for over 25 years.
The Location
Perfectly situated on the edge of the 6,500 acre Ashdown Forest (Winnie the Pooh country) Peter and Jane are privileged to be near many renowned private and public gardens, fascinating castles and historic churches. Standen, an Arts and Crafts showpiece is close by in East Grinstead. Holly Hall is only 25 minutes from Glyndebourne and Gatwick Airport.
How to find Holly Hall Bed & Breakfast (B&B).
From M25 exit J6 onto A22. At Wych Cross take A275 signed Lewes & Chelwood Gate. Approx 1 mile turn left into Beaconsfield Road. After ½ mile right into Stonequarry Road. After 600m turn left into unmarked private lane. Holly Hall is at end of lane.
