Glebe Farm
Lodge No 40A
Arriving in Ashmore on a fine day one is able to appreciate just how high you’ve climbed with views across to the Dorset coast and the Isle of Wight over 30 miles away. Tear yourself away for tea and home baked cakes at Glebe Farm which is situated in the heart of the village.
Built in 2004 and designed to take advantage of the magnificent views all around as well as the complete and utter tranquillity of this quiet slice of Dorset. Inside, glass walls create a light and spacious feel and the central dining hall with its completely glazed wall allows uninterrupted views across the fields beyond.
The bedrooms, located to the side of the house, are beautifully furnished with armchairs and table, well-stocked hospitality tray, fresh flowers, television, iPod docks and internet access. The upstairs room has a Juliette balcony whilst downstairs French doors lead on to a private deck to make the most of the views.
A light supper is offered for guests in their room if they choose or guests can enjoy a full dinner in the dining room or candlelit terrace. Whichever option is chosen you will enjoy local fare supplemented by homemade produce all cooked to perfection and enjoyed in the most wonderful setting.
Your Bed & Breakfast Hosts
Tessa and Ian Millard oversaw the building of the house themselves before moving in from their farmhouse next door. They have three grown up children and run a large arable, sheep and beef farm. Dogs and horses are family favourites here and Tessa enjoys the additional challenge of side-saddle on one of her horses.
