Built from local, honey-coloured stone in the late 18th century, history and character emanate from this beautiful Grade II listed house which is perhaps not surprising as it has, in the past, served as the local pub, blacksmith and cobblers. Lovingly renovated it is nowadays the home of Robin and Liz who offer their guests a truly warm welcome with tea or coffee and biscuits on arrival which sets the scene for the rest of your stay. Furnished with antiques, family portraits and lovely fabrics and colour schemes chosen by Liz, guests are free to use the attractive sitting room and explore the two charming walled gardens which offer a tranquil and private haven amidst its village setting. There are three bedrooms, two en suite and one with a private bathroom, all delightfully decorated and furnished with antiques, crisp linen sheets and large fluffy towels.

Your Bed & Breakfast Hosts

Robin and Liz have lived in the county for many years and have amassed the sort of essential local knowledge that is invaluable to guests. Liz has a background in interior design whilst Robin has been a commercial helicopter pilot and a farmer. Their extensive breakfast menu will challenge your powers of decision making before you set out on a day's exploring whilst the excellent local pub is a must for returning guests at the end of the day.

The Location

Broadwindsor is in the middle of some of the most beautiful countryside which seems to be made for exploring on foot - the Jurassic Coast, Wessex Way and Monarch's Way. There are historic buildings at Forde Abbey, Mapperton House and Montacute. The Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton and the Haynes Motor Museum are within easy reach.
