This beguiling Victorian house, in a quiet one way residential street in the historic country town of Sherborne, has an unusually large and pretty garden looking out onto Sherborne Castle Hill and woodland. There is on street parking as well as parking at the rear of the house.

Inside this quiet, comfortable, country house the decorative interior with its touches of formality reflects obvious good taste in fine fabrics, porcelain and furniture, but its easy charm makes relaxation as effortless as it should be.

Tea is served, if required, on arrival and then you will be shown to your room. Large, sunny, guest rooms made up with the crispest bed linens and bathrooms are new, white and modern with excellent invigorating showers. The personal attention to detail is faultless.

As you will see from the lovingly tended gardens, Pam and Colin are keen gardeners. They also thoroughly enjoy bridge and collecting plants for their home. They also enjoy entertaining and have created a sanctuary in which guests can take time out from hectic schedules, wind down, enjoy fine food and make the most of everything that the area has to offer.

The Location

Sherborne is an enchanting small country town with its own Abbey. Castles, shops, restaurants, tea rooms and weekly market stalls are all within easy walking distance of the house. The historic Dorset Coast, Quantock Hills and the city of Bath are an easy drive away. Also, Stourhead, Wilton House and Montecute House are certainly worth a visit.
