A few minutes from the beach, in an elevated position with fantastic sea views, Simcoe House is in a truly wonderful location for guests that love the very many delights that Devon has to offer. This 17th century house is beautifully decorated and furnished with fine antiques. The bedrooms and bathrooms have fine linen and luxurious finishing touches with tea and coffee making facilities included.

Tea and cakes on arrival set the scene for a memorable stay and breakfast, served in the dining room facing the sea is fabulous with freshly made croissants or full English with all ingredients sourced locally.

There is a beautiful wide terrace with exotic plants which runs the full length of the front of the house with tables and chairs where guests can relax and enjoy the views.

Your Bed & Breakfast Hosts

Jane and John are enthusiastic hosts who welcome guests with tea and cakes served on the terrace overlooking the sea in summer or in front of a log fire in the drawing room in winter. They are happy to pass on their knowledge of the local area to help you make the most of every day of your stay with them. Both enjoy cultural pursuits, fishing, walking and travelling. They have recently moved from Rowhorne House near Exeter when they ran a Wolsey Lodge for two years.

The Location

Budleigh Salterton is situated on the famous Jurassic coast. There are beautiful beaches close by and visits to Exeter, Dartmoor and Exmoor are within easy distance as is the world famous Eden Project.
