Simcoe House is in a truly wonderful location for guests that love the very many delights that Devon has to offer. This 17th century house is beautifully decorated and furnished with fine antiques. The bedrooms and bathrooms have fine linen and luxurious finishing touches. The adjoining Coach House with sea views offers privacy with its separate entrance via a spiral staircase.

The dining room overlooking the sea is fabulous, where guests will enjoy an excellent breakfast with ingredients sourced locally.

There is a beautiful south facing terrace with exotic plants which runs the full length of the front of the house with tables and chairs where guests can relax and enjoy the sea views.

Your Bed & Breakfast Hosts

Jane and John set the scene for a memorable stay with tea and cakes served on the terrace overlooking the sea in summer or in front of a log fire in the drawing room in winter. They are happy to pass on their knowledge of the local area to help you make the most of every day of your stay with them. Both enjoy cultural pursuits, fishing, walking and travelling.

The Location

Simcoe House is in an ideal position, being only 3 minutes walk from the beach and the town centre which has many interesting shops and places to eat. The famous Cathedral City of Exeter is 30 minutes by car or train from Exmouth which runs along the picturesque river Exe and its estuary. Bicton Gardens (only 5 minutes away) is well worth a visit and also the National Trust property 'The Round House' at Exmouth. Ramblers can enjoy a nice easy walk alongside the river Otter to Otterton, or for those more ambitious there are walks along the Jurassic coastal paths. Exmoor and Dartmouth are easily accessible.
