Situated in a deep, sunny valley Tubbs Mill House is a classic, wisteria covered Georgian home which has been lovingly restored to its former glory to become a sheer haven of peace and tranquility and a wonderful place to unwind.

Where the garden borders the River Luney a deck has been built with a swing seat from which you can watch the local wildlife and the world in general pass by. Whilst you may be tempted to linger the rest of the garden delivers similar treats with many unusual plants, flowers and trees.

The house is beautifully decorated and furnished with a mix of antique, classic and modern furniture and a wonderful collection of old prints and pictures. The bedroom is split level, very private from the rest of the house and has superb views. Bed linen is Egyptian cotton and there is a large en suite with bath and shower, bathrobes and large fluffy towels plus organic toiletries made by Denise. Great care is taken to use mostly organic and only local produce to provide their guests with the finest breakfasts which set them up in readiness for a day of exploring the local sights.

Your Bed & Breakfast Hosts

Denise and Vic are lively and outgoing and are both keen gardeners and walkers with a love of history. Vic is a builder by profession and also the cook in the family whilst Denise, a trained horticulturist is the 'kitchen porter'. They love having guests to stay in their home and nothing is too much trouble to make your stay here memorable.

The Location

There is a great deal here for everyone. Close to the South West Coastal Path makes it a walkers and bird watchers paradise and an abundance of fine houses and gardens at Trewithen House, Llanhydrock House, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project. St Ives and Padstow are nearby as is the wonderful outdoor theatre, The Minnack.

How to find Tubbs Mill House Bed & Breakfast (B&B).

After leaving St Austell travel on A390 towards Truro, after approx 3 miles take slip road off to the left signed Tregony, B3287. Follow for approx 2 miles to a T-junction turn left towards Tregony, after approx ¼ mile turn left at sign for Caerhays & Polmassick. Follow this lane for 2 miles to a sign 'Tubbs Mill ¼ mile', turn left and the house is at the bottom of the hill on the left. Parking is opposite the house.
