Treverbyn Vean Manor
Lodge No 10
This listed, neo-Gothic manor house is of great architectural and historical importance. During the war it was acquired by Lord Beaverbrook who met here with Churchill and Montgomery when devising their war plans. The house stands high above the beautiful wooded Glynn valley, enjoying peace and tranquillity of pine woodlands bordered by the rivers Fowey and Loveny. Enjoy walking past our lake and alongside the riverside in our beautiful 40 acre woodland.
The unique combination of work by architects George Gilbert Scott and William Burges, has created a breathtaking and yet fabulously welcoming home. Guests are offered a Cornish cream tea in the Great Hall with its minstrel's gallery, log fire and stone mullion windows and the elegant dining room and sitting room with elaborate ceilings are also for guests to enjoy. On warm evenings, drinks are served on the long terrace overlooking the woods or in the hall.
Feel totally pampered in large, comfortable, centrally heated bedrooms with views through leaded windows and glorious en suite bathrooms with Victorian roll top baths and many original features.
