This elegant and comfortable 1830s Cornish country house stands in the rolling countryside of the Roseland peninsula.

Alison, together with Siena, the chocolate Labrador, greets guests and shows them to their rooms, after which tea is served in the drawing room.

The three guest bedrooms, all with their own generous bathrooms, are comfortable, inviting and prettily decorated, with superb views over the beautiful two acre garden.

This is Alison's first love and she delights in showing guests around. She has restored and enlarged it meticulously over the last twenty years. It contains many rare and interesting plants, a sunken, herbaceous walled garden, a croquet lawn and a recently laid-out potager.

Your Bed & Breakfast Hosts

Anthony has spent much of his professional life in East Africa and the Far East but as his family have lived in Devon and Cornwall since before the Conquest, he returned here and now has his own law firm in Truro. A keen sailor and golfer he has a yacht in which a day's sailing may be arranged.

Alison has practised horticulture and garden design all her professional life. She holds a NDH and is an authority on Cornish plants and gardens. She will also happily recommend interesting places and restaurants to visit.

The Location

Tregoose is centrally situated for the whole county - from the Tate at St Ives and Land's End to houses and gardens on the Devon border - all are within an hour's drive. The great gardens of Caerhays, Heligan, Trewithen and the Eden Project are all within five miles and beaches, sailing waters and the coastal footpath are easily reached.

Leave A30 by turning left for Grampound Road. Continue 5 miles through Grampound Road. Turn right at junction with A390 towards Truro. The lane leading to drive is after 200 yards, on right, just where double white lines end in centre of road; lane entrance is between four black and white reflector posts.
