Beeholme House
Lodge No 33
In an area steeped in medieval history you would, quite rightly, expect to find something special, and it would be difficult to find a house more special than this. Beeholme House is a beautiful Grade II listed thatched house tucked away behind a high hedge, with gardens stretching to the rear.
The property is a delight - with exposed beams, low ceilings and big fireplaces - and filled with antique furniture. The bedrooms are typical of this age of house - small but beautifully decorated in a simple, comfortable style, with views over the gardens. The spacious bathroom for the double room contains a huge, listed bath and luxurious bathrobes are provided for every guest. The one and a half acre garden, filled with flower beds, roses and shrubs, has a summer house to relax in and a small bridge leads you intriguingly along footpaths over open fields.
Your Bed & Breakfast Hosts
Antony, a direct descendant of the poet William Wordsworth, works as a Chartered Loss Adjuster, whilst Anne takes care of the guests, serving substantial breakfasts and delicious teas. Antony and Anne previously ran a Wolsey Lodge for ten years at Little Brockholds Farm and moved to Beeholme in 2005. Sharing a passion for gardening, Antony and Anne love having people to stay with whom they can share their knowledge of the many local events in the area as well as places of interest and the best pubs and restaurants to dine at.
