One glimpse of the glorious view over the valley below Borio Nove will make your visit here worthwhile. Set on a hillside in beautiful open countryside this typical French ‘maison de maitre' has large windows with green shutters and an old tiled roof. You will be welcomed on arrival with tea in the drawing room which, like the rest of the house, is furnished with a mix of pictures and furniture from England and many other parts of the world, reflecting the travels of your hosts Luleen and Freddie.

The two main bedrooms are light and airy with either an en suite or private bathroom; a third bedroom (en suite) on the second floor under the eaves is perfect for children over twelve. Breakfast is served outside on the terrace or under the lime tree in the summer and for a relaxing afternoon there is a large swimming pool with a shady pergola and views to the distant hills. Breakfast is a choice of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt,croissants and French bread.When guests stay for dinner, they can look forward to local specialities using ingredients from nearby markets or from the garden.

The Location

This region of southern France, with its medieval villages and markets is a delight. A visit to Albi Cathedral is a must as is a visit to Toulouse or Castres with its Goya museum, Le Notre Garden and the medieval village of Lautrec.

How to find Borio Nove Bed & Breakfast (B&B).

Leave Toulouse Blagnac airport following the green sign for Toulouse. Follow signs for Albi (keep in the right lane for a series of right hand exits), after the first couple of turns follow the blue Albi signs for the A68 (not the green).

On leaving the tollgate on the A68 go approximately 43 kms to exit 9 marked Gaillac, Cordes and Graulhet. Take D964 to Graulhet and after 16kms turn left at the lights, then follow the D631 towards Realmont. Go 11 kms passing through the village of Laboutarie, a short distance after this village is a disused railway bridge; drive under this and immediately turn left on the D41 signed to Albi and Lombers. Look for the first lane on the right: there are two red and white pillars and three rubbish bins (yellow, green and black tops). Turn right and drive to the top of the hill, driveway is the second on the right (there is a cottage beside Borio Nove). With good traffic conditions this will take about 60 to 70 minutes.
