Chateau de Villette offers guests a very special, peaceful and tranquil haven in a remote country setting amongst the Morvan Hills. Formerly occupied by French aristocracy and recently renovated, the chateau has been sumptuously redecorated with meticulous attention paid to the three large guest rooms which are furnished with the finest furniture and linen, have their own private bathrooms and views across the park.

The 500 acre estate surrounding the chateau has been carefully cultivated using environmentally friendly farming and conservation practices to provide stunning scenic contrasts - centuries old parkland, formal terraces, beautiful woodland and crystal clear streams merge together to creat an idyllic setting to the perfect relaxing break.

Food is sourced locally to ensure guests experience the very best of this region's outstanding culinary delights and fine wines are brought up from the chateau's own cellars to be enjoyed in the candlelit formal dining room or one of several outside terraces. A minumum of twenty four hours notice is required for Dinner.

Coen and Catherine share a love of this beautiful area of Burgundy and they extend a very natural, warm and enthusiastic welcome to guests that discover the very special retreat they have created at the Chateau de Villette. The host have an in-depth knowledge of the local area and delight in sharing this with guests.

The Location

It would be hard to visit this area without visiting the local vineyards and there is an abundance to choose from. Alongside this there are local antique markets to explore, tennis and walking and, by going slightly further afield, guests can take day trips to Roman churches and private chateaux not normally open to the public.

How to find Chateau de Villette Bed & Breakfast (B&B).

On the N81, between Autun and Luzy. 18km from Autun, turn right onto the D192 for Poil. Drive through the tiny village of Poil and 2km after leaving the village, turn left for ‘Villette'.
