Guests arriving at the Palazzo Consoli, nestled within the medieval walls of the charming hilltop village of Monteleone D'Orvieto immediately relax into a home that typifies a classic Italian renaissance building.

Every room has been lovingly renovated by the hosts to reveal the original charm and splendour and combine it with modern-day conveniences that provide for a totally relaxing and luxurious break. Magnificent frescoes and antique furniture are found throughout Palazzo Consoli with aged terracotta floors and exposed beams combining to provide a homely atmosphere.

Four double bedrooms, all of which enjoy views over the surrounding Umbrian countryside and mountains, are furnished with beautiful Italian linen and fresh fruit and flowers are placed in rooms each day. The luxurious marble bathrooms adjoining each bedroom allow guests to pamper themselves still further.

The summer months coax guests outside to enjoy the garden from the sheltered veranda whilst inside in the winter, cosy warmth is to be found when the fires are lit in the grand fireplaces.

Your Bed & Breakfast Hosts

Italian aperitifs, coffee and tea are served on arrival by Stephen and Elisa, an English-Italian couple who warmly welcome guests to their home. Elisa and Stephen have recently opened a restaurant in the old stable of the palazzo, called L'Antica Stall di Palalzzo Consoli.

The Location

Halfway between Rome and Florence, the Palazzo Consoli offers guests a quiet secluded break that can alse be combined with the attractions of these wonderful cities. An historic costume parade is held in August whilst at Christmas the village is transformed into a replica Bethlehem renowned throughout Italy.
