This attractive villa, just one mile from the sea and only 400 yards from the clubhouse of Guadalmina's two 18 hole golf courses, is a haven of peace and tranquillity. The secluded garden, with its good sized heated swimming pool, provides the perfect setting for guests wanting to relax at their leisure; a gazebo is used during the summer months for outside dining.

The comfortable guest bedrooms (each with a marble tiled bathroom) are air conditioned and have their own terraces overlooking the palm fringed garden and pool. Bathrobes and swimming pool towels are provided for guests, and a daily laundry service is offered (other than at weekends).

Stuart and Geraldine Worthington are experienced hosts: they are well travelled and are justifiably known for their friendliness and hospitality. Many Wolsey Lodge devotees will remember them from the days when they lived in the Peak District at The Old Rectory, Blore (C5 in former brochures).

The Location

Andalucia, Spain's southernmost region, includes the historic and popular cities of Cadiz (2 hours distant), Seville and Granada (both 2 ¼ hours) and Cordova (3 hours). Places of interest closer to Casa Orquidea are Ronda (1 hour) with its rich arabic and christian heritage, Marbella and the internationally known marina of Puerto Banus (15 minutes), the fascinating white hilltop village of Benahavis (10 minutes) ... and the local town of San Pedro (5 minutes), with its narrow streets and pedestrian ways, has its own Andalucian charm. Gibraltar is only 45 minutes distant - and even Tangiers, in Morocco, can be visited in the day!

How to find Casa Orquidea Bed & Breakfast (B&B).

From Marbella, take A7 (Cadiz) coast road. Beyond San Pedro de Alcantara, just after the white ‘Marbella' arch spanning the road, turn right and then immediately left. In 50 yards, fork right. At crossroads, turn right. Cross the golf course. As the road forks, bear left (Calle 19). Casa Orquidea is the 5th villa on the right.
