Merivale House
Lodge No 112
What are the ingredients for a perfect B&B? Interesting location, a beautiful home and an attentive, welcoming host – all three criteria are more than met for guests arriving at Merivale House, close to historic Salisbury with its many attractions.
Greeted by your hostess Sarah Wright and welcomed into her charming and lovingly restored Georgian cottage, you’ll be left wanting for nothing. Interesting drawings and paintings adorn the walls and rooms are furnished with beautiful fabrics and comfortable furniture. The two guests rooms on the first floor (the steep, narrow cottage stairs may be a problem for some guests) have luxury en suite bathrooms and views across the garden and village green. Guests have the use of their own sitting room to relax in or the conservatory overlooking the garden where dinner and breakfast are served.
Outside the secluded landscaped gardens sweep up to the church and a large weeping willow provides the perfect setting under which to sit and enjoy your surroundings. An accomplished cook, Sarah offers a mouth watering breakfast menu as well as dinner if required. All in all, Merivale House offers perfection and one guests return to without hesitation.
Your Bed & Breakfast Hosts
Sarah is well travelled and ran her own fabric and bridal shop for many years before turning her attention to the renovations of Merivale House and finally opening her home to guests. Nothing is too much trouble and guests will find her knowledge of the local area helps them to make the most of their time here.
