The Old Rectory
Lodge No 94A
Along a laurel lined driveway you arrive at The Old Rectory, a timelessly graceful house set amidst 15 acres of private grounds and gardens with its own beautiful riverside frontage and woodland walks.
Sun filled rooms retain many original Georgian features, complemented by antiques and comfortable furnishings that all lend to the atmosphere of relaxed luxury. A well stocked library and games room are available for guests to enjoy whilst outside the large sunny terrace overlooking the gardens is the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful afternoon tea.
The newly refurbished bedrooms are particularly spacious, with one of the double rooms featuring an antique four poster bed, and each furnished with the high quality linen you would expect as well as complimentary toiletries. Breakfast is prepared using local, organic produce where possible.
Every summer, The Old Rectory is the backdrop to a production by a travelling Shakespeare company who perform on the large lawn in front of the house –a perfect setting to enjoy the delights of an outside performance.
