Hidden at the end of the village up a long tree lined drive, this beautiful Cotswold house sits in 20 acres of gardens and paddocks, in front of the lovely 15th century church.

A perfect, informal place to unwind, Hovington House boasts a beautiful 30 foot drawing room with blazing fire. Candlelit dinners in the Scottish styled dining hall are another treat. Children can be fed earlier and left to use the snug to watch videos or read, so their parents can enjoy their meal in peace.

The en suite bedrooms are large and comfortable. One has a stunning barrelled ceiling, with views over the churchyard and field, the other is beamed.

Outside, the heated pool is open from May to October. Croquet and tennis are also available.

Your Bed & Breakfast Hosts

Jonathan is originally from Kenya and Barbara is Scottish. Both are very well travelled and speak German and French. Jonathan is in property in London but loves shooting and fishing. Barbara has three horses and enjoys tennis, golf and equestrian events. She used to have her own restaurant, and loves cooking with home grown seasonal vegetables, fruit, game and beef from the family farm in Scotland.

The Location

Hovington House is situated between Malmesbury, Tetbury and Cirencester, just 30 minutes from Bath and Cheltenham and 15 minutes from Badminton and Gatcombe. Watersports lakes are 5 minutes away. The source of the Thames and the start of the Thames Walk are nearby, as is Westonbirt Arboretum, with its lovely walks and open air concerts. London is only 1 hour away by train or car.

How to find Hovington House Bed & Breakfast (B&B).

Leave M4 Motorway J16. Take A3102 towards Wootton Bassett. At 2nd roundabout go straight on and under the M4. Take 1st turning on right (B4696). After 3 miles turn left at Braydon crossroads signed Minety (2 miles). At Minety crossroads go straight over and through village for 2 miles to Upper Minety -take 1st turning on right signed Oaksey & Minety Church. Hovington House is 400yds, 2nd driveway on the right.
