Beryl
Lodge No 85
A precious gem in a perfect setting, it is as if time has stood still at Beryl, a beautiful small Gothic mansion standing serenely in 13 acres of parkland, one mile north east of magnificent Wells Cathedral.
Designed and built in 1838, by Benjamin Ferrey, a pupil of Pugin, Beryl has been lovingly restored with Gothic inspired features and a wealth of fine antiques. The elegant drawing room is the perfect place to unwind in luxurious style; the relaxed sitting room is perfect for watching television, playing board games and enjoying a much needed drink. Wells offers excellent dining opportunities from relaxed pubs to upmarket restaurants.
Individually decorated, well appointed bedrooms enjoy views of the cathedral and gardens where an outdoor heated pool, croquet lawn, restored walled garden and woodland and a children's play area are waiting to tempt guests outside in all seasons.
Chair lift to first floor.
