Dolffanog Fawr

Lodge No 151A

Dolffanog Fawr is a beautifully renovated 18th century Welsh farmhouse, set in the glorious Tal-y-llyn valley in Snowdonia. Guests can unwind and relax amid magnificent scenery and luxurious accommodation. Stunning views of Tal-y-llyn lake and Cadair Idris are complemented by the warmth of the welcome and the comfort to be found inside.

Simple but elegant furnishings are used to wonderful effect, from comfortable deep leather sofas and wood burner in the guests' sitting room to the delightful bedrooms and en suite bathrooms. Providing everything you could wish for, bedrooms have wonderful views over the countryside, but just when you think it can't get any better there is the 'dining experience'-definitely not to be missed! Alex has used his extensive knowledge and enthusiasm to put together an enviable wine list to complement Lorraine's inspired cooking. Menus featuring Welsh Black beef, Aberdyfi Salt Marsh lamb, home caught trout, salmon and sea-trout are combined with local bacon, sausages, eggs and vegetables to produce delectable breakfasts and dinners. After a day spent walking or fishing, guests can ease their aching limbs in the hot tub in the garden.
