'Absolutely stunning' is the only way to describe the views from this lovely house. Situated on the edge of Lake Bala it is a haven of peace and tranquillity - the perfect place to recharge the batteries and appreciate the glories of this corner of Wales.

The house itself is a spacious Victorian gem which manages to combine many fine original features with the most luxurious modern comforts to provide a memorable experience. There is a sitting room and dining room set aside for guests to relax in, all comfortably furnished and beautifully decorated. The dining room has a Bechstein grand piano which musicians are welcome to use. A west-facing terrace offers breathtaking views across the lake to the Arenig Mountains and dramatic sunsets.

The bedrooms are also spacious and comfortable - two have antique four posters - and all have fabulous en suite bathrooms with spa baths and power showers - excellent for soothing aching limbs after a day's activities on and round the lake! To set you up for your days activities you will be served a wonderful breakfast using mainly local and organic produce and delicious home baked bread.

Katrina and Peter have great energy and enthusiasm and are dedicated to ensuring their guests have a wonderful stay. Nothing is too much trouble and they are keen to share their love and knowledge of this area. Katrina is from a nursing/midwifery background and Peter has his own business and is based in Stockport.

The Location

Bryniau Golau is on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, in an area of breathtaking beauty, enhanced by castles and gardens, historic towns and cities. There is easy access to uncrowded shorelines and opportunities for canoeing, sailing, fishing, guided walks and white water rafting for the more adventurous.

How to find Bryniau Golau Bed & Breakfast (B&B).

From Bala, take B4391 towards LLangynog, follow road around until Bala Lake is visible on right. Turn right on B4403 to Llangower. Pass Bala Lake Hotel on left and after approximately ¼ mile Bryniau Golau is 2nd turning on the left. Go up the tarmac road, over cattle grid and Bryniau Golau is the first house on the right.
