Haroldston Hall
Lodge No 153
This lovely Georgian style house that retains some of its original medieval features, boasts views over some of the most spectacular coastline in the country. The glorious sandy beaches of St Brides Bay are only a mile away and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is close by.
The house itself is charming, full of character and a complementary blend of antique and modern furniture, including some striking pieces hand made by Ben. There are also beautiful paintings of the surrounding area by Ben's father who was an art teacher. The bedrooms are comfortable, spacious and prettily decorated with large en suite or private bathrooms. On arrival you will be welcomed with tea and cake or biscuits, either in front of the fire or in the peace of your room.
On rising in the morning a veritable feast awaits you, prepared and served by Ben who is the most thoughtful and attentive host. Guests can relax in the orangery which opens to the garden and which, beyond the spinneys, bluebells, wild flowers and terraces, offers stunning views in every direction, all of which are shared with Charlie the peacock and the family's border sheepdog, Blue.
Your Bed & Breakfast Hosts
Ben is a retired farmer and cabinet maker and Haroldston Hall is his much loved childhood home, his passion for which he enjoys sharing with visitors. Judith, who has worked as a medical secretary for many years is an enthusiastic breeder of Welsh Cobbs and has shown them with great success. Ben and Judith will be delighted to advise guests on all that this area has to offer as well as the best places to dine in the evenings.
The Location
Glorious beaches , the tiny cathedral city of St Davids with its many interesting and varied restaurants and pubs, castles at Pembroke and Manorbier, and the famous islands of Skomer (with its puffins), Ramsay and Caldy combine to make this a fabulous area to explore.
