The Old Vicarage

Lodge No 27

Step inside this classical Victorian vicarage and you will instantly appreciate its warm and relaxing atmosphere. The central hall with its original Minton tiles partially covered with antique rugs, boasts galleried stairs and landing. The well proportioned sitting and dining room are tastefully decorated with antiques, original paintings and comfortable soft furnishings. Here, log fires blaze in the marble fireplace during winter months.

Upstairs, the restful bedrooms have lovely aspects - the twin room having pleasant views over the garden and into the valley beyond, and the double looking toward the historic 12th century church, often bathed in floodlight at night.

Arranged on three levels, the large garden features a well planted rockery with small shrubs and alpines, extensive lawns and a peaceful summerhouse, which guests are welcome to use.
