Tudhoe House
Lodge No 40A
Leaving the vibrant and historic city of Durham behind, you will find the pretty village of Tudhoe with its carefully preserved village green and pretty houses with Tudhoe House sitting proudly amongst them, a gem of a Georgian home. Careful and thoughtful restoration of the house has successfully blended original and modern features to create a most warm and welcoming family home, a treat to visit at any time of the year.
You will be greeted on arrival by your hosts with tea and delicious cakes, in the winter served in front of a warming fire and on warmer summer days on the terrace from where you can savour the splendour of the immaculate gardens. Breakfast and supper are a relaxed affair, taken in the large kitchen which, like the rest of the house is a mixture of modern and antique furnishings.
A sweeping staircase leads to the first guest room and a further staircase leads to the second floor with beamed attic guest room, each featuring large, highly comfortable beds, attractive décor and furnishings.
