Cook House is situated in the historic Cumbrian village of Levens overlooking Morecambe Bay and the Kent estuary, which together form a dramatically changing backdrop to this most beautiful home. As its name implies, the house was formerly a cook house for weary travellers making their way across the valley. Charmingly typical of this beautiful area, Cook House is perfectly located for exploring the Southern lakes as well as a convenient stop off on the way to Scotland.
You’ll be welcomed on arrival with afternoon tea in the conservatory, garden terrace or when the weather is inclement, beside a cosy fire in the drawing room. Lucy has made this house into a most comfortable home that is light and sunny and furnished with fine art, furniture and family photographs.
The bedroom is very comfortable and offers every luxury for guests, alongside a spacious modern bathroom. It overlooks a rose and box garden, which is just one part of the stunning gardens surrounding Cook House, all of which have been designed by Lucy.
