Well, this is a fine detached farmhouse, nestling in peaceful countryside in the heart of North Yorkshire – nothing out of the ordinary there, but just wait until you step over the threshold! North Dockenbush is a stylish, private country residence that combines understated luxury, home comforts and a charming, relaxed atmosphere.

The recent refurbishment of the interior has resulted in dramatic individually styled bedrooms and a delightful breakfast room. Every finishing touch has been thought of - trays in the bedrooms with a selection of teas, hot chocolate, freshly ground coffee, home made biscuits and bottled water, along with Molton Brown toiletries, Egyptian cotton linen, thick towels and luxurious bathrobes.

The gardens and grounds are beautifully restored and home to colourful collections of rare breed hens, geese, ducks and spotted pigs. Breakfast is prepared from produce grown in the grounds or supplied by local farmers. This is a wonderful place to stay if you want to feel like the most important person in the world, even if it is for just a few days!

After working in the hospitality and event management industry for 10 years Oliver made a lifestyle changing decision to leave the rat race and return to his Yorkshire roots. He is passionate about country pursuits and combines that with the hospitality business at which he excels. Oliver is happy to both book a table and arrange transport to and from The Malt Shovel in Brearton a gastro pub famous for its fine food.
