Boltongate Old Rectory
Lodge No 16
A 14th century study, where guests can snuggle up to a roaring log fire, and a wonderfully romantic 16th century dining room, are just two of the secrets revealed when you step inside what is, from its exterior, a seemingly typical Victorian rectory.
There is a unique warmth and sense of serenity in this lovely home, which is the winner of Cumbria Tourism and the North West Tourism Bed and Breakfast of the Year 2007. Beautifully decorated guest rooms have king size beds or larger and include thoughtful touches such as luxurious towelling dressing gowns and CD players. Tea trays are available on request. There is every comfort and guests are also welcome to use the television and DVD player in one of the lounges.
Pre-dinner drinks are served in the drawing room or out on the terrace in the summer months with spectacular views of the purple tinged lakeside fells and mountains. Dining by candlelight in the intimate dining room enhances what is certainly one of the highlights of your stay.
