Killoran is a spacious, modern house set into the volcanic rock face near the village of Dervaig on the beautiful island of Mull. Simple colours and rustic furnishings create a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere with views towards the sea on one side and the mountains on the other.

Dining is a speciality at Killoran House with fresh local produce used to make the most sumptuous four course meals. Relax before dinner in the spacious lounge or sit on the balcony enjoying a spectacular sunset afterwards. Guests have use of the study where a computer with Internet access is available including use of books, games and DVDs. Guest rooms are beautifully equipped with fine linen, luxurious Scottish toiletries, bathrobes, LCD TVs and DVD players.

Killoran is set in 1½ acres of garden, has its own water supply from a natural spring and is perfect for regular sightings of red deer and buzzards and the call of owls in the night and, very occasionally eagles soaring high above.

Ian is a chartered accountant and also an excellent cook who is passionate about producing the very best meals for guests. Janette was a primary teacher and is a warm and friendly host who takes pride in giving guests the most comfortable of stays. Both have travelled extensively, they enjoy gardening and walking their chocolate Labrador Bonnie. Ian is a keen golfer and Janette has a great love of local wildlife.

The Location

A holiday on Mull can cater for all. For those seeking adventure there are whale-watching trips, hiking up Ben More and numerous other walks, all day wildlife tours, golfing and much more. For those wanting a more relaxed holiday perhaps a trip to Duart Castle or a visit to Tobermory to see famous colourful houses or how about a stroll on the white sands of Calgary Beach.

How to find Killoran House Bed & Breakfast (B&B).

From Craignure (approx 50 mins) turn right on leaving ferry, through Salen, take road signed to Dervaig. At T junction in Dervaig turn left signed Calgary. Killoran House is about 2 miles on left. From Tobermory (approx 25 mins) take road to Dervaig. Stay on this road when you reach the village (do not turn right and go into Dervaig) for about two miles. Killoran House is signposted on the left.
