Corranmor, a traditional white painted stone house, sits on top of the hill with panoramic sea loch, island and hill views and incorporates the original 12th century croft as the drawing room.

On arrival, guests receive a proper Highland welcome to this working farm, with tea and home made cakes and are shown to their traditionally furnished, warm, ground floor bedrooms. One is a suite attached to the main house with a double bedroom, small single, dressing room and a bathroom. The other is across the courtyard and has its own sitting room and bathroom.

The dining and drawing rooms are beautifully furnished with comfortable sofas and large fires. The deep red dining room shows off pictures and furniture beautifully and the views, with the ever-changing light, are exceptional.

The colourful, five acre garden, comprises both formal and wild areas, carpeted with spectacular daffodils and bluebells in spring. Around 600 geese graze the surrounding land and are brought in at night.

Your Bed & Breakfast Hosts

Hew's family is Scottish with many generations of Argyll connections. Barbara is a lifelong Scotophile from Kent and they have lived here for over 20 years. They enjoy sharing their peaceful home with guests and enthuse about the area. Barbara is an excellent, as well as adverturous cook.

The Location

In this beautiful part of the world, an abundance of wildlife, including seals, birds and deer and forts, castles, museums and gardens are all waiting to be discovered. Locally you can ride, cycle, sail and fish, take boat trips to the islands, go on wildlife safaris or in season see dolphin, porpoise and whales.
