Sithe Mor House
Lodge No 115
The problem with staying at Sithe Mor House on the shores of Loch Awe with its own bay, beach, jetty and private fishing rights is that you may never want to leave!
The house has a lovely conservatory and also a summerhouse by the loch. Fine local produce is one of the many highlights of dinner. Kilts are encouraged and you can even borrow one for dinner. Dine at a long Georgian candlelit table with 1947 Wedgwood and family silver in a room adorned with Boat Race memorabilia including family oars with college crests dating from 1861.
Unashamed style describes the bedrooms, with their 20 foot domed ceilings with original frieze plasterwork both overlooking the loch. One of the en suite bathrooms overlooks the water and has corner bath, jacuzzi and luxury multi-jet shower. The other en suite bathroom has a rolltop bath and overlooks the mountain Ben Cruachan.
Your Bed & Breakfast Hosts
John and Patsy enjoy sharing the art of polished Scottish hospitality. John is a member of Leander Club and was the first solo oarsman to row each way across Scotland from the Atlantic Ocean to the North Sea and back. Patsy's interests are evident in the house with its fine art, antiques, 18th century family portraits and fine cuisine.
