Kateshill House

All the modern comforts combined with the elegance of a bygone era…

Positioned on the edge of town within easy walking distance of historic Bewdley, Kateshill House is a magnificent Georgian manor house that has been thoughtfully refurbished with an emphasis on comfort and grandeur – it even has royal connections!

As can be expected of an award-winning Wolsey Lodge, there are graceful and elegant reception rooms with views across the surrounding lawns and countryside, offering a haven of tranquillity that guests can’t help but become engrossed by. Upstairs each of the seven luxury spacious en-suite rooms has been individually tailored with a blend of antique and contemporary furniture and fine linen all selected to offer the ultimate in comfort and luxury.

A magnificent Sweet Chestnut tree in the garden will not fail to grab the attention of B&B visitors. One of fifty Great British Trees selected to mark the Queen’s Golden Jubilee, it has a girth of some 33 feet, is around 500 years old and occupies a stately ¼ acre of garden. Alongside the abundant flower beds and borders which reflect the utter splendour of this very special old manor house.

Home baking and a fine breakfast selection, with an array of excellent eateries close by, ensure a stay of any length here will be utterly and delightfully memorable.

I have stayed at many Wolsey Lodges but this was just stellar quality. The house is a delight, the welcome warm and effective. It would be hard to find fault.
