Lynturk Home Farm

Beautifully old family property, with the most genial of hosts…

A little off the beaten track, down a winding road that passes fields and woodland sits this gorgeous listed farmhouse, which was built by hostess Veronica's McCombie ancestors in 1762.

It has 300 acres of land where cattle, sheep, and horses feed and roe deer wander, which guests are welcome to roam. The whole area is peaceful, quiet and blissful, perfect for those guests in search of a haven to truly relax and unwind.

Inside, through the impressive galleried entrance hall, you will find the gracious drawing room, furnished with family antiques and portraits, with a roaring log fire in colder weather. The rest of the house is just as delightful, adorned with fresh flowers, polished furniture and Persian rugs.

In the morning, enjoy the sound of the birds and the sight of the deer from your comfortable en-suite bedroom with spectacular far reaching hill views of the Aberdeen countryside in two directions. Delicious candlelit dinners using produce from the farm and massive breakfasts are served in the tranquil dining room, twinkling with Georgian family silver and glass.

: It was marvellous. Friendly hosts and we enjoyed complete peace. Beds were excellent.
