Lys-Na-Greyne

Stylish and palatial retreat, offering hospitality that goes above and beyond…

‘Meadow of the Sun’, is the English title of this Irish Gaelic named Wolsey Lodge, and it is most fitting indeed. The sun rises in the morning at the eastern end of the walled garden, floats over the extensive lawn before setting beyond the herbaceous borders and woodland teeming with wildlife. All of which sits on 3.5 acres of land.

An extensive renovation has yielded marvellous results, retaining its Edwardian charm whilst accounting for every modern comfort on the cutting edge of luxury. Besides the six en suite rooms (one with a balcony), the lounge, conservatory, terrace, and grounds are also excellent locations to drink in the tranquillity of the surrounding countryside and unwind into total relaxation.

Your hosts love to spoil their guests, be it cake and drinks on arrival or a pre-dinner drink before embarking on a culinary journey of local produce expertly handled by the numerous eateries nearby.

Local produce is a standard here, backed up by the well-deserved Visit Scotland Taste our Best award. Breakfast is scrumptious and plentiful, with the family chickens (Mabel, Fudge, and Speckle) ensuring the freshest of eggs each morning.

Your B&B Hosts

2015 was the year your hosts, Garry and Joyce bought Lys-Na-Greyne and began the transformation into a fabulous B&B. The idea matured over the 15 years Joyce spent being a stay at home mum, her next plan had to allow for valuable family time, whilst also appealing to their love of hosting, welcoming and meeting guests from around the world in a warm and luxurious environment.
