Mazey Cottage

A garden lover’s paradise…

Set in 3 ½ acres of the historic Carminowe Valley, Mazey Cottage is a very pretty 18th Century farmhouse within earshot of the sea yet centrally placed between both the South West Peninsulas, Falmouth, and Truro. The surrounding landscape is simply stunning, a walled garden with colour year-round and over 120 species of roses, woodland paths, natural ponds, handmade bridges – it is no wonder this Wolsey Lodge has featured in gardening magazines, both local and national!

The beamed sitting room is for bed and breakfast guests private use, deep comfortable sofas, books, and flowers mingle with traditional watercolours, as well as contemporary art which reflects Marion’s interests – she can advise on local galleries, auctions, and gardens.

The effortless chic continues upstairs to the restful and comfortable bedroom, with an adjacent private bathroom, which has a free-standing bath and separate shower, thick towels and organic toiletries. Breakfast can be taken outside on the terrace, weather permitting, or in the dining room and consists of a wide selection, including fresh eggs from Marion’s chickens.

Excellent. Marion & Peter are charming and entertaining hosts who made me feel very welcome. I cannot fault any aspect of my stay. It was a joy to visit this very luxury accommodation.
