Woodhayes

Peaceful, comfortable and welcoming…

Proudly overlooking the Otter Valley, Honiton and Devon, in what Daniel Defoe once called "the finest landscape in the world", rises Woodhayes, an elegant listed Georgian farmhouse offering luxury bed and breakfast accommodation at its finest.

Dating back to the 14th century, Woodhayes is steeped in history and has a fascinating literary connection. Noel's, Page-Turner ancestor was the great aunt to one of Britain's greatest ever writers, Jane Austen, who often frequented nearby Lyme Regis.

Fine antique furniture, sumptuous beds with fine bed linen and walls adorned with original paintings (including full-length family portraits) make this an impressive, yet comfortable home from home for Wolsey Lodge guests visiting Honiton and the surrounding Devon countryside.

Guests are encouraged to explore the one-and-a-half-acre garden featuring beautiful topiary and enjoy the scenic walks on the 150-acre farm. Breakfast is superb and locally sourced as is all the produce used in the dinner menu as well. If you are feeling particularly active you can book an on-site Pilates lesson!

Delightful. Dinner with the hosts was happy, with lively conversation and scrumptious food. This was an exceptional Wolsey Lodge experience.
