In the spring, the garden comes to life with rhododendrons, azaleas, daffodils and tulips creating a riot of colour. The lily scented terrace, with its rose covered pergola, is well used on sunny days and warm summer evenings, as is the drawing room with the blazing fire in winter.
The facilities available at Old Whyly B&B are first class, alongside the wonderful green spaces is an adjoining private estate where guests are welcome to explore at their leisure, a secluded swimming pool with a wisteria covered pool house and a tennis court.
Inside the 17th century listed Grade II manor house are elegant reception rooms filled with lovely antiques, pictures and flowers. There are four individually decorated bedrooms, two with ensuite bathrooms and two with exclusive use of private bathrooms. The beds are all superking doubles, apart from one room that has a king-sized double bed: all are all fitted with fine linen. Overall the atmosphere is sophisticated and serene, making Old Whyly the perfect place to escape.
Breakfast is a combination of home grown produce, eggs from prize winning hens and ducks as well as honey from the bees in the orchard. If you are a fan of walks, good food and rural countryside, then this is the bed and breakfast for you!
Old Whyly B&B suggests
Take a walk. The Wealdway runs down Old Whyly’s drive: head one way for Eastbourne or the other for Gravesend. The South Downs Way also passes close by.

Location
Old Whyly is located at East Hoathly and is the perfect place for those of you visiting the Glyndebourne opera festival, which is less than 10 minutes away. There are many historic houses, castles and villages to visit within easy reach. The medieval county town of Lewes with its art and antique shops is close by, as is Brighton, with its famous Pavilion and seaside atmosphere.
